I routinely recommend nasal saline irrigation to any patient with chronic rhinitis or sinusitis as an adjunctive treatment in addition to the pharmacologic therapy.
It has shown to be a beneficial therapy in helping to get rid of allergens or mucus from the nasal passage and prevent the bacterial growth leading to recurrent sinus problems.
My recommended group includes all children especially with hay fever to try saline rinse at least daily over springtime before I put them on nasal corticosteroids or antihistamine pills because it is safe non-pharmacologic treatment for all ages. Young children might not tolerate the procedure as easily as would older children or adults, but with the proper training; it can be used in very young children with nasal allergies or colds.
There is no complete cure for either allergic rhinitis or colds. NeilMed saline irrigation will help for many allergy, sinus, and cold sufferers even though it is not a cure – all that we desperately look for.

the only problem with dis product is its time consuming an you use alot of toilet roll afterwards
Try using good quality paper towel for those gentle no-pressure blows immediately after you finish rinsing. Paper towel won’t come apart or cling to your wet nose or fingers the way tissues or toilet paper will.

I have been using this product for 2 years. Be sure to use distilled water. Recently, the Ent added budesonide and baby shampoo to the saline mix
